For information on former patients of Harrisburg State Hospital you will need to visit the Pennsylvania State Archives in Harrisburg, PA. The majority of the records and patient information was transferred there when the hospital closed in 2006. Due to restrictions placed on State Hospital related material it is recommended that you contact the PA Archives before visiting to make sure that you can gain access to the records you are looking for.
